Overview
Medical insurance is designed to help cover treatment due to an accident or illness. Just as important is protecting your income if you are absent from work for either a short or extended period of time.
We want to help our employees think differently about financial well-being and are pleased to offer enhancements to the disability programs and provide supplemental benefits for out-of-pocket medical expenses. Employees working at least 36 hours per week are eligible for these benefits.
Accident Insurance
Accident Insurance pays you a benefit for specific injuries and events resulting from a covered accident that does not occur at work. The benefit amount will vary depending on the type of injury and care received. For example, if you receive an x-ray related to accident care, you will be reimbursed $50. Likewise, if you experience a fracture there would be a reimbursement up to $3,000. This payment is sent directly to you to help pay for medical expenses not covered by insurance or use for any purpose you like.
- Spouse and Children election options are available
- Guarantee issue (no medical questions)
- Employees and Spouses can each receive $50 for completing a wellness exam or health screening

Additional Information
What is the Wellness Benefit?
The Wellness Benefit is a rider that is included with your Accident and Critical Illness Insurance coverage. It provides an annual benefit payment if you complete a health screening test on or after your coverage effective date, whether or not there is any out-of-pocket cost to you. You only need to complete one health screening test. Note that you may only receive a benefit payment once per year, even if you complete multiple health screening tests. If your spouse is covered for Accident Insurance and /or Critical Illness Insurance, they are also covered for this benefit.
How can the Wellness Benefit help?
Regular health screenings increase the chance of a positive outcome when serious illnesses are detected early. The Wellness Benefit encourages you to get regular health screenings. The benefit payment you receive for your health screening test can be used to help pay for the cost of the test or however you like.
