Upon successful completion of your introductory period, DSB will reimburse you for 70% of the cost of prescription safety eyewear that meet the ANSI Z87.1 standard with permanently attached side shields, up to a maximum of $100, one (1) pair of eyeglasses per calendar year. Tinted lenses are not allowed without pre-authorization from a representative from our EHS department. The employee is responsible for the cost of any examination required.

Employees can contact their supervisor, a representative from EHS, or Human Resources for an authorization form to be used with local eyewear providers with whom we have a direct bill option setup. Employees do have the option to purchase Prescription Safety Eyewear that meet the ANSI Z87.1 standard from a provider of their choice and can submit their receipt to Human Resources for applicable reimbursement.

For employee safety, open-toed/open heeled shoes are not allowed on the manufacturing floor. In designated manufacturing areas or on a per job basis, specific safety footwear (i.e. steel-toed footwear, toe-guarded safety shoes, or ESD compliant footwear that meets or exceed ASTM F2413-05 standard for impact protection) is required. Upon successful completion of your introductory period, DSB will reimburse 70% of the cost of safety footwear up to a maximum of $100, one (1) pair per calendar year. Maintenance techs, Mold Techs, Tapper Techs and Die Setters are eligible for up to two (2) pair within a calendar year due to the nature of their working conditions.
